The folding  Adirondack chair from CedarChairStore.com is the newest addition to our line of fine Adirondack furniture.  Like all of our chairs, the folding chair is extremely comfortable, and built to last.  Modeled after our Fan Back Adirondack Chair, the folding Adirondack provides all the comfort and luxury, plus the convenience of folding for easy storage and transportation.  You can store three chairs in the space normally required to store just one of our regular chairs! The generous 22" wide contoured seat and gently curved back of this high quality chair will cradle you in comfort.

The arms are nice and wide, and level to give you a place to set a drink or a book, and built at just the right height for comfort.

We start with hand selected 5/4" Western red cedar for the frame, arms, back and seat slats, and 8/4 Western red cedar for the front legs and other parts where the additional thickness is essential for strength.  We layout each piece of your chair individually. All parts are made to exact templates to ensure the quality fit of each piece. Every piece is hand cut, shaped, and all of the exposed edges are rounded over before it is sanded, so you can apply the finish of your choice with virtually no prep work.

5/4" Western red cedar finishes out at a full 1 inch thick. This is at least 33% thicker than most of the chairs you will find.

We have seen some imported furniture that is built using wood barely over 1/2" thick, nearly 50% lighter than ours. Furniture built that light simply doesn't have the strength that ours does, and  just will not last.

We certainly understand that you can buy furniture that costs less, as long as you understand that you will get less when you buy it.
