We start with hand selected 5/4" Western red cedar, and layout each piece of your chair individually. All parts are made to exact templates to ensure the quality fit of each piece. Every piece is hand cut, shaped, and all of the exposed edges are rounded over before it is sanded.

Then we hand paint all of the pieces and assemble the back and seat assemblies.

Your chair will arrive in 8 pieces and assembles very quickly. 

5/4" Western red cedar finishes out at a full 1 inch thick. This is at least 33% thicker than most of the chairs you will find.

We have seen some imported furniture that is built using wood that is barely over 1/2" thick, nearly 50% lighter than ours. Furniture built that light simply doesn't have the strength that ours does, and  just will not last.
